The Los Alamos Cub Scout Day Camp is scheduled to utilize the LASC range Wednesday thru Friday; June 4-6. However, they are in need of some help from our members. A big part of the day camp is to introduce these young boys into the Sports of BB Guns and Archery. This year our local cub scouts need someone to assist in both the BB Gun and Archery Events. This is a great way to introduce our Shooting Sports to our next generation.
If anyone from the LASC could help here is our needs:
BB Gun Shooting Instructor--Either a Boy Scouts of America (BSA) or NRA Certified Instructor. (The BSA Certification is minimal and can be given by our District; just needs to be done the day before/not the morning of the event). Volunteer Time Needed--Wednesday and Thursday 0830-1440.
Archery Shooting Instructor--Same Qualification as above or equivalent. Volunteer Time Needed--Friday 0830-1440.
The Shooting Events are already well planned, and the material is ready. Including 2 helpers have been identified to help each of the instructors, we just don't have anyone certified. A note, BB Gun is only on Wed and Thur and Archery is only on Friday.
If anyone could please help in any way, please call Sandy Jennings our Day Camp Leader at 662-3291.
