New Member Information

Membership in the Los Alamos Sportsmen's Club is open to anyone with an interest in shooting. The only requirement is safety and compliance with the range safety rules. There is no initiation fee and members are welcome year round. Memberships are annual (from April 1 to March 31 of the following year). The family membership fee covers all individuals in the household. Visitor memberships run for 3 months (June 1 - August 31). The visitor rate is intended for out-of-town visitors that are in the Los Alamos area for the summer, e.g., summer students at the lab. The visitor rate is not available for permanent Los Alamos area residents. Your NRA membership number is required to receive the NRA membership rate.

LASC Orientation Coordinator: Jung Hong

New membership applications are only accepted at the scheduled new member safety orientations (see schedule below). Do not mail the new membership application form.

Come to the new member safety orientation with the completed new membership application, a government issued ID (driver's license is fine), prorated dues for the rest of the year, and, if applicable, proof of NRA membership (card, magazine label, etc.). You will be fully operational as a club member at the end of the hour long orientation which stresses our range safety policies. Your badge will be issued by the club member giving orientations, and you will also receive the gate combination.

    1. The Sportsmen's Club is open only to members and guests. Use of the club by non-members with payment of a daily range fee has been discontinued. The club will continue to be open to non-members for participation in the regularly scheduled shooting activities.
    2. The Sportsmen's Club is fenced and gated. The combination to the locks on the gates will only be given to members. The gates must be closed and locked at all times, except during a club sanctioned event which is open to the public.
    3. As a Sportsmen's Club member, you must wear your badge while on any part of the club grounds. Guests of members are not required to wear a badge but must be with the member they came with, at all times.
    4. A single Sportsmen's Club member may only escort two guests at a time and are responsible for the safety of their guests.
    5. All new members must attend a new member safety orientation before being allowed to use the range. New members can only join at an orientation session. Bring the completed new member application form, proof of NRA membership, and dues. You will have full access to LASC facilities upon completion of the safety orientation.
