Matches: The monthly Silhouette matches are held on the second Saturday of each month. The dates for the 2011 matches (all Saturdays) are:
January 8, 2011
February 12th
March 12th
April 9th
May 14th
June 11th
July 9th
August 13th
September 10th
October 8th
November 12
December 10th
An email will almost always be sent out a week before the match advising you of date, start time, etc. so be sure to sign up for the Silhouette maillist. Generally, we will start setting up the targets at 8:30AM, shooters can start practice around 9:00 and the match will begin at 9:30AM.
Silhouettes-in-a-row pins as well as award certificates will be given out.
Classes: We compete in one or more of the following five classes:
| Open Sites - | 1. Revolvers and semi auto pistols | 2. Single shot pistols | 3. Rifles |
| Scoped - | 4. Pistols/revolvers | 5. Rifles |
Course of Fire: 40 shots (all shots fired standing) - 10 shots at each distance:

Chickens - 40 meters
Pigs - 50 meters
Turkeys - 75 meters
Rams - 100 meters
You may enter more than one firearm.
Rules: NRA Smallbore Hunter Pistol rules will be followed where applicable. Ties will be broken by shoot-offs, if time permits.

1st Sunday of the month, starts 9:00 am (may not always be held during winter months), full-size silhouettes out to 200 meters.
Lever-Action Center Fire Rifle (mostly 30-30):
1st Sunday of the month, starts 12:00 noon, full-size silhouettes out to 200 meters. (Note: this is shot concurrently Long-Range Pistol)
Long-Range Pistol:
1st Sunday of the month, starts 12:00 noon, full-size silhouettes out to 200 meters. (Note: this is shot concurrently Lever-Action Rifle)
3rd Sunday of the Month
22 Rifle:
3rd Sunday of the month, starts 9:00 am, half-size silhouettes out to 100 meters. (Note: this is shot concurrently .22 Pistol)
22 Pistol:
3rd Sunday of the month, starts 9:00 am, half-size silhouettes out to 100 meters. (Note: this is shot concurrently .22 Rifle)
Center-Fire Pistol (straight-wall cartridges plus 32-20 and 22 Hornet):
3rd Sunday of the month, starts 12:00 noon, half-size silhouettes out to 100 meters.
I go to a number of these matches along with several other club members, so if you are interested in going you will have company (and a ride). You will be very welcome at any of these matches. Please check with me before you decide to hit the road. These matches may occasionally be cancelled.
