I am restoring my grandfathers early 1894 Marlin (est. Mfg 1913) 25-20 Deluxe takedown. I've been searching for a cresent shaped CRS buttplate for this model with little to no luck. Would appreciate any direction on where I might look to find one. Below is a photo if a similar rifle & buttplate.
Thanks to the club members for helping me locate a replacement stock and buttplate for my rifle. After receiving the parts, I carved and fitted the stock. The mechanics all seem fine but before going further with blueing & stock finish, I would like to find a good gunsmith to go thru the rifle to make sure it's mechanically sound and safe to shoot. Would appreciate any suggestions or referral. Thanks!
